Taking precautions for the pandemic
Information provided by Centres for Disease Control and Prevention say that:

Most people are getting inffected and getting sick are continuing to be in the 5-24 years old age group. That is 62% of all the cases that are being counted by the CDC.

The People at high risk for complications leading to hosptalization or death from the Influenza A, Novel H1N1 Virus are:
  • children younger than 5 years old;
  • persons aged 65 years or older;
  • children and adolescents (younger than 18 years) who are receiving long-term aspirin therapy and who might be at risk for experiencing Reye syndrome after influenza virus infection;
  • pregnant women;
  • adults and children who have underlying disorders such as:
  1. pulmonary, including asthma,
  2. cardiovascular,
  3. hepatic,
  4. hematological,
  5. neurological,
  6. neuro-muscular, or
  7. metabolic disorders, such as diabetes
  • adults and children who have immunosuppression (including immunosuppression caused by medications or by HIV); and,
  • Residents of nursing homes and other chronic-care facilities.
